Tournament Update: Read if You Want Anymore

We love tournaments. The trash talking, clutch plays, and even the social interactions. So we were really sad that no one decided to show up for the Black Ops tournament we held last night.

In light of that, we are going to try some things to make sure that these things go smooth and that people actually show. It would suck if we don't do tournaments anymore because of a lack of people showing.

Day Tournaments are Held


First off, we are going to have a poll to see which day would be best for holding the tournaments. Fridays are usually good but with it being summer Thursday night or Saturday night might be better. So vote on the poll and we will try to implement a better day.

Registering for Tournaments

Second, you will have to register for the tournament ahead of time. For example, for next weeks Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat tournament, come in any time during the week starting Sunday and put your name in for the tournament. That way we know how many people plan on showing up before the tournament date and can let everyone know beforehand if we are doing it or not. Remember, if we don't get the minimum amount of entrants, we will cancel the tournament.

As for the five dollar fee for entry, you can pay when you come to register for the tournament or the day of the actual tournament day. If you pay beforehand and don't show, you won't get your money back. So if you are not sure if you are going to be able to show up, sign up and then just pay the fee the day of the tournament.

Which Tournaments


As we have said many times before, we will do tournaments based on your suggestions. Let us know which game you would like to have and we can do a poll to gauge interest. If enough people are interested we will do one, simple as that.

So for next week, we have Super Street Fighter IV and Mortal Kombat. I'm going to put a poll to see if anyone wants to do one for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. If enough people say yes, we will add it to the tournament line-up.
