How Our Reviews Work

With our Reviews we will try to explain as much as we can about the game and our general view of it and assign it a number grade (explained below).

But you must keep in mind that a review is partially an opinion of the reviewer so you might not agree with everything we say. That is why we write a full review and not just give it a number and call it a day. A smart gamer will take what we write into mind moreso than just a number when making their decision.

Review Scale

Our review scale is a five point scale with one being the lowest and and five being the highest.

1 - Utter Garbage: This game is a waste of plastic. Everything from gameplay to music is bad and the only redeeming quality is using it as a coaster. And that's only if you have the shiny side up.

2 - Bad: This game is not good. It may have some good ideas in place but they are completely marred by poor design and gameplay choices. Play at your own risk.

3 - Good. This game is OK. It doesn't do anything extraordinarily well but it is far from horrible. There is something to be enjoyed here but not necessarily by everyone.

4 - Great. This game is just short of perfection. It does a lot of things very well but has a few glaring problems that keep it from being perfect. You should play this game.

5 - Heavenly. This is a game for the ages, an instant classic. People will talk about this game for years to come. Whatever flaws it may have are negligible. You should own this game. Period.

Half (.5) Scores: If a game is given a #.5 score it means that it is between the score below it and above it.

Example: A game that is a 3.5 is better than a 3 but not quite a 4. It is something that a lot of people will enjoy but has many issues that keep it from being enjoyed by a greater audience.
