Forza Motorsport 4: Season Pass and Demo Details

My car experience only constitutes changing my oil, tires, and Top Gear. Yet every time I see some racing game or simulator I feel like I could be an F1 racer or an automotive engineer.

Forza Motorsports 4 sees to help me with my delusions of automotive grandeur on October 11th, but the guys at Turn 10 have decided to be kind though and let us have a taste of what to expect in the game in the form of a demo releasing on October 3, little over a week from the games full release.

Also announced was the Forza 4 Season Pass which is similar to what Microsoft did with the Gears of War 3 season pass which allowed you to save some money on future DLC.

All the details on what you get with the Season Pass after the jump.

Just like the Season Pass for Gears, Forza 4's Season Pass will also cost 2400 MS Points ($30 in real dollars) and net you not four, but six downloadable packs through next April. Apparently this is a 30% savings overall instead of buying them separately when they release.

The game already comes with about 500 cars standard, but these six packs will add another 60 through the six downloadable packs. Plus, for those of you that purchase the Season Pass, Microsoft is looking to give up even more cars.

For those of you that purchase the Season Pass, you will also receive the first DLC pack, American Muscle, for free.

The American Muscle car pack includes:
  • 1965 Pontiac GTO
  • 1968 Pontiac Firebird
  • 1970 Buick GSX
  • 1970 Dodge Cornet Super Bee
  • 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS
  • 1969 Shelby GT500 428CJ
  • 1971 Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi
  • 1967 Dodge Cornet W023
  • 1968 Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock
  • 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt

Muscle cars go in straight lines, not corners. I thought this was supposed to be a simulator.
Also, the first batch of Forza Motorsports 4 will also include another free pack called the Launch Bonus pack which includes five more cars for you to collect.

The Launch Bonus car pack includes:

  • 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
  • 2011 Koenigsegg Agera
  • 1997 Lexus SC300
  • 2011 RUF RGT-8
  • 2011 Tesla Roadster Sport
If that's not enough for you guys, how about Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson talking about the Warthog from the Halo series? Don't believe me? Check out the video.

See you on the racetrack folks!
